Your not a bad person everyone makes mistakes, just learn from it, hope that helped.

You have 72 hours from the time that you had unprotected sex to take the morning after pill, so you still have time, and it's better than waiting to find out if you are pregnant. The tiny drops of pre-cum that he produces can get you pregnant, so this is the reason to use a condom every time, right from the beginning of sex. If he came inside you, it's more likely. You generally ovulate 14 days before your period begins, no matter how long your cycle is, it's always 14 days before your period and you are fertile for several days before (sperm live inside you for a few days as well) and after you ovulate, for about 9 days in total. Most pregnancy tests can detect a pregnancy 5 days before you start your period now, as long as you follow the directions and use your first morning urine, but make sure that you follow up with a blood test if you don't get your period to find out for sure. Good Luck Hun.

reader, anonymous, writes (6 March 2008): Well honey its best to take a pregnancy test 4 - 6 weeks after the date you had unprotected sex (yesterday). This means you will get an accurate result, dont let anyone tell you that you should so this any time before 4 - 6 weeks is up! It will most likely show negative, but this is not accurate. So 4 - 6 weeks. And yes, the time until the test will probably be worrying and every time somebody mentions babies your heart will probably suddenly jump and be filled with worry, but try to keep the stressing at bay. It's not good for you to worry so much. BUT THERE IS ANOTHER OPTION! As it was only last night, you can still take the emergency contraception pill (morning after pill)! (I notice you live in the UK so..) Boots pharmacy will supply you this free of charge if you ask, and so will most chemists. You can take the morning after pill any time up to 3 days after sex (not 2, like rumoured, 3) but the sooner the better. The first day after is always best, however, if you can go first thing in the morning tomorrow there's still a good chance of it working. I would say this is definitely your best option honey. So go for that! I've had it before and its nothing to worry about, you just ask for it at the counter and a pharmacist will take you into a room and its a TIIINY little pill, so no worries. This should rule out a lot of worrying :] but if you'd rather just take the chance or cant go, then remember, 4 - 6 weeks time take a pregnancy test. Good luck honey!!

get the morning after pill straight away! it would take a week after the time your period is due to find out whether you're pregnant, maybe even more. he sounds selfish worrying about his couch more than your well being & whether you are practising safe sex so you would be wise to make sure that you use protection in future.
