You can't tell, hun. All you can do is observe and watch his actions around your sister. You are female. Am I to assume this is someone close to you, like your bf? If so, then he's out of line even saying this to you, in the first place. He's being insensitive, unthinking and disrespectful to you and your sister. If he's not a love interest, but just a guy interested in your sister...it might be best to warn your sister about what he has said. It sounds like he has little or no repsect for woman in general...to even imply such a thing about one's family member.Eyes, Malyce and Eddie are right. It might be helpful, if you were to write back and give us more information on this situation, so we can aid you in a more helpful manner, instead of us Aunts just guessing and speculating here. So write back and give us more details, hun. Take care.

eyeswideopen agony auntBased on all the information you have supplied...the only way to tell if he's lying is if you don't have a sister?

I would have to wonder if this line of thinking was externally influenced or if it's all internal. If it's just your insecurity and jealousy-deal with your inner self and seek counselling as to why you would want to entertain such unfair thoughts? Self sabotage?

Agreed with Eddie...there isnt' a heck of a lot to go on.

A female reader, anonymous, writes (12 September 2007):

If he has ever mentioned wanting to do that, even once, even as a "joke" then he is a jackass and you needen't be with him. That is awfully disrespectful and if you're letting this go on you are spineless.
