I want to cut off communication with him but for the past 6-8 years there isn't one day that goes by that I don't think of him. I wonder why.. I hope we can break this btwn us. I feel it slowly happening. He just had a baby `10 months ago and I have a son who it 5. My son needs my undivided attention right now so I guess putting my ex aside is very necessary. I know I am in love with him. It hurts... He probably could care less about me. I gave in and replied to his e-mail. I want to meet up with him for dinner b/c I just "need a friend". Is this bullshit or what or am i looking to stir up something else. I wish I could just let it go!I am very frustrated but really want him in my life always. I feel better when I hear from him. It actually lights up a part of me.

Make sure you are busy and depending on hearing from him. He can't make you feel that better when you hear from him or you two would still be together. Get a life and move on without him or you are just building yourself a life of torture ahead.
take care
