How do you stay happy after a breakup?

A female Canada age 30-35, anonymous writes:

What are some ways to keep yourself happy and going, after breaking up with somebody? I'm afraid of my future with my boyfriend and I'm afraid that if we do call it quits I will become depressed again.

As we broke up before about four months ago, and I slept, got up for ten minutes to eat, then slept again, for about three weeks straight. I cried myself to sleep almost every night, and thats the only way I felt relieved.

I don't want this to happen again.

So help.

ilovebowsandcherries agony aunthun life goes on.

you shouldn't curl yourself up in a ball and hide away from the world! no no no you need to get out there hold your head up high and think fine! i'll go out there be myself and see what happens. go out with your friends drinking or whichever you prefer to do with your friends.

you should never cry over a man!

they're not worth it (no offence guys)

you can always find another man :) you just be confident and more the person you want to be.

think of guys as lessons you learn from each and every relationship :) and just think of what you learnt from that relationship and work on it to make it better for the next one :)

Hope this helps hun

betty_black agony auntThe best way is not to dwell, not to mope around. You need to keep active. Do something you love, be it a hobby or school work, or whatever. Spend time with the people you love, do fun things. Just try not to overthink the situation, remember that not everything is meant to be. Try not listening to sad songs and getting stuck on it. Its not worth it.
