Kegel exercises are definitely the answer, but there is much more too it. There are also other exercises you can do and you need to get yourself a good routine and educate yourself about how to really get the job done.
I have had 2 children, so I know some stuff about having a loose vagina trust me. My husband told me after childbirth that he didn't feel like I was as tight as I once was, and the doctor told me to do kegels. I found this book and once I read it I applied the techniques and started feeling results in a couple weeks.
This book will give you all the tips, secrets, and myths (like vinegar and ice will never help tighten your vagina, they will just cause you pain.) and it teaches you tons of exercises. It has a full money back guarantee which is what sold me and I never returned it. Anyway here's the link:

Do you want to tighten it slightly with a lot of excercise or do you want to take 5 - 60 seconds to tighten it tighter than ever?
I work for a company that invented and marketed an all-natural product that makes a vagina very, very tight.
It's a patented product with full medical approval and has a 100% success rate without any side-effects or allergens.
My Fiance and i use it all the time because it simply makes sex amazing.
Feel free to contact me back if you're more interested.
We're in the process of launching the product internationally as such a product has never really been invented with a 100% success rate in 5-60 seconds, and it is all-herbal with no synthetic additives.

I understand you can do some Kegel exercises (your gynaecologist can tell you better; I'm a man) and have an operation, too. However, I would not advice you to undergo an operation.
You know, this issue shouldn't be a problem for you. From what I've learned, usually this issue comes out when a man complains about his woman. The complaint is often (if not always) unfounded.

i'm not sure exactly what you mean by tighter. do you mean that you want it to permanently be tighter, or to be able to make it tighter during sex? either way, you can do kegel exercises. kegel exercises dont exactly "shrink" your vagina, but they will make the opening tighter. here is a wikipedia entry talking a bit about it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kegel_exercise . and then here is a link telling you how to perform these exercises: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/kegel-exercises/WO00119 . i hope this will help. if kegel exercises don't work for you, you may want to talk to a doctor about other methods. I am aware that there is a vaginal cone, but i don't exactly know how it works. good luck!
