Ovulation normally occurs every month, when one of the eggs is released from the ovaries and travels down through the fallopian tubes. Women usually experience certain physical signs when they are ovulating. Regularly following these simple steps will help keep you up-to-date on the physical changes your body is undergoing when important changes are taking place
•Take your temperature every morning when you wake up, before getting out of bed or using the bathroom. Your temperature will drop slightly right before you ovulate, and then will rise. It will continue to rise on the following two days, and will register about 0.4 to 0.6 degrees higher than your normal temperature.
•Step 2
Observe any abdominal discomfort. Some women experience a sharp pain in their lower abdomen when they begin to ovulate. You may also get a pain on either side of your lower back. The pain should only last a brief time.
•Step 3
Be aware of discharge. Cervical mucus becomes thinner and more watery as ovulation approaches. At ovulation, it resembles raw egg whites in consistency.
•Step 4
Notice any changes in cervix color, which also indicate ovulation. The normal color is pink; when you ovulate, the color becomes pale or bluish.

There are also tests you can buy to find out when you are ovulating, if you are trying to get pregnant. They can be bought at the pharmacy I believe.

Ovulation happens generally around the 14th day of your menstrual cycle ( so 12 to 16 days before your next period ). It is often,ma not always signaled by :
visible alterations in your cervical mucus, which becomes more abundant and different in colour and texture ( it becomes white or transparent, more fluid and elastic, similar to egg white 9-increase in sexual desire - small but sudden raise in body temperature- breast tenderness- little sharp pains in the overy where the follicle is breaking.
You can also buy in pharmacies kits for ovulation detection- a bit expensive but fairly accurate.
