reader, anonymous, writes (30 October 2009): From experience with previous partners that when a guy does ejaculate inside theres usually a distinct smell which comes with it plus the other sign that it does escape from the vagina obviously depending how much was released. The smell should kind of give it away though.

We have had sex many times & he would out right tell me he didn't finish, but this time he told me he did. He has no reason to lie to me.  Have you learned his 'finished' expression/gestures yet? If so, and if they seem a bit off, there's a chance that he was lying to you.
Were you using a condom? If so, there's no real way to tell, I'm afraid, unless you're wanting to root around in the bin, which I'm guessing you're not. If you didn't use a condom, (using other protection, of course) then next time you go to the loo, his semen will make an appearance and you'll know he did, ha.
