writes: Well the thing is that my boyfriend and me were kissing on the couch. Then he stop and just started to looking at me and started smiling, then he finial came out with what he wanted to say. He said I love you, but he first ask if it was ok for him to say that, and I said I was fine with it , and that felt the someway when he ask me if I did. I no he cares for me a lot more than I thought anyone would. I cares for him to I feel for him when he sad or not feeling well, love being around him and close to him, but i don’t no if I am in love. What does it feel like? How do u no if u are if you’re not sure? I know people who said that they love me who don’t even no me or I them and it seem as though it just a word how do u known?

reader, anonymous, writes (27 April 2006): im not sure either hun.its so EASY for somone 2 say I love u,but meaning it is another thing.I suppose u hav 2 go by how a guy treats u(i.e.if he puts u first before anyone,spends all his spare time trying to make u happy and seems blinded by u..i guess it is love)Personally I dont believe in love.its just a word that sums up how much u care for a person aint it?Love is painful,strange and wonderful because all these emotionals u feel for a person are so intense,that if they were to dissapear all of a sudden you wud b traumatised for a long,long time.

reader, anonymous, writes (11 February 2006): you know it's "love" when you cant bear to be apart from the person, even if you have argued, have had a difference of opinion, and still cant bear to be without them, the thought of never seeing them again makes you feel sick or panicky,you smile inside when its real love, and it doesn't matter what happens you still want that person around you.

but to feel the emotion,grace it with the enjoyment it deserves and let it be...
i feel that he asked you if it was ok for him to say that,because he didn't want to scare you away.he may have had bad experiences before where this has happened.
a lot of people find they get pushed into a corner,into repeating those three words back,but if you don't think you feel the same then utter a different set of words instead like'thank you darling'.
learm to love the words being said to you and you might just feel it yourself..good luck girl...aunty B x

 You know if you love someone. The true love you have you can feel inside. when you see the one you love, your heart starts to thump really loud and you have butterflies around him and your knees feel weak when you are together! If you dont feel this around the guy that said he loves you, you shouldnt say it back if you are not sure, you could be breaking his heart!!
