She shouldn't find it far-fetched or cheeky even if she says no. In other words you must take it step by step. You can be more direct if you know you are both up for a casual hook up otherwise you should be more delicate and subtle and look to create a certain closeness between you firstly before you can hope for more adjusting the pace to your liking and her's.

You can't ever really know until you try. If you like a girl, tell her and see how she responds back. Ask her out.
As for the sex, when you are being physical with her, there's a natural progression... she'll stop you if she doesn't want to keep going.
