 Go for it, there's nothing to be affraid of, you are leaving in 2 days. Just go somewhere where you feel comfortable, and be straight with him, there's nothing un-cool about giving the first step.

You need to go for a walk with him or go to a coffee shop, somewhere where there is realatively little or no tension and talk to him about it.
