just talk to her without sounding to harsh or judgmental, you could approach her like "hey is everything okay? a couple of our friends were a little hurt when you said....or did....!" dont use words like "rude" or "nasty" or she may think you have already made up your mind, good luck.

Ive seen her go in to this defensive mode where she responds to my opinions with comments like " well i had no idea you felt that way about me". Or she'll just cry and give me the silent treatment because her feelings are fragile.
