I think you should just be honest with her! When you next see her, tell her that this guy asked you out on (whatever night it was) but you havent responded to him yet because you wanted to talk to her (your best friend) about it first. Explain that her friendship is the most important thing to you and you would never risk losing her over a guy, thats why you came to talk to her before you gave him an answer.
That way she cant be mad or upset at you because you have come to her first, instead of saying yes to him first and then telling your friend. She will appreciate your honesty and will be pleased that you put her friendship above boys (because after all, boys come and go but friends will always be around).
Ask her how she feels about it - she must know that you really like him too if she is your best friend so maybe she will be ok with it if you say yes to him, but you have to talk to her first. Just tell her that you do really like him and would like to say yes to him but only if she is ok with it - explain you dont want to ruin your friendship over him.
I hope this helps and good luck!

I think you need to ask your friend how she feels because everyone knows ur friends will always be there boyfriends come and go. you have to think is it worth risking a good friendship for a realtionship that could last 2 weeks ??
let me know if this helps
