yeah you could substitute biting your nails to twirling your hair or something hehe :). but if you do manage to grow them and theyre weak, well i know my moms got this nail polish but its nail strengthening stuff and its clear like a gloss, i think its called nail hardener. maybe you could google it and see what comes up?

Painting them is a good idea - that's partly how I stopped biting mine - 7months and counting!
For the strength issue, eat more of foods containing calcium and magnesium, like cheese.
I also gave myself a reason to stop biting them - I thought about how much prettier long nails would look to my new boyfriend!
Also, find something else to do with your hands - if it's a nervous habit, try fiddling with paperclips or something like that.
Think you can also get products to put on your nails that don't taste nice - could try vaseline?
