Remember to always be yourself.
Hope this helps :)

How do you know you care for him if you've never had a conversation?
That aside, I'd start by saying "hi" and smiling. Ask him about himself. Boys your age tend to be immature, so be careful. Some good topics of conversation are: favorite movies, favorite TV shows, favorite music. Basically topics that will help you get to know him without getting too personal. If he did something you thought was cute or funny, that could be a good icebreaker. "I thought it was really funny when you did _____ in art class the other day."
Also, there is nothing wrong with asking the boy out if you like him.

Ive been in that same position!! all you have to do is just wait until hes away from his friends and say something sweet nice flirty. Ask him about his weekend or if he did last nights homework. Find something that interests you both so that you can talk about it. When my guys friend and gf were sick on the same day he was always around me! it was really sweet because even after a whole day of following me around and flirting with me he texted me:) So just do something cute sweet and flirty.
