Now, she keeps calling me up and asking me if I wanna go shopping or whatever, and I don't really wanna because I prefer my best friends.I am not the type of person to say, "I don't wanna stay in touch with you' because I'd feel so mean and she'd probably say, "Why?" And I wouldn't have an answer and it'd be really awkward.Does anyone have any tips? I don't wanna stay in contact with her but I don't just wanna say it blankly. Thanks x

Just make a point that you're really quite busy but maybe still email her every so often? Or talk on instant messaging. That way she doesn't think you're being mean but you're not forced to be bestest friends with her.
