How do I help my moody gf with her problems?

A male United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Hi

well theres this girl im sort of seeing (we've had an on/off thing now for over a year).

But shes a very moody, stressy person. Shes had a lot going on with parents divorcing, failing at school a bit and having a lot of pressure on her to do well.

I only want to try and get close and help, but shes a very closed person. and whenever i try to talk to her about something or show her how shes being moody and distant with me she just flips out, twists it and basically says that its me not her sort of thing.

Can anyone please give some advice on how to deal with it? Because its hard for me to be with someone who i love so much and see them unhappy and yet not want my help. and in the end my desire to help can make things worse but then i feel that if i do nothing we'll grow distant.

Has anyone got any advice please? It'll be greatly appreciated.

woman23 agony auntFirst of all women tend to need to see some type of authoritarian side in a man, you need to sit and talk even if she doesn't want to listen you sit her down, and all of what you wrote in this disscussion you need to say it to her word by word, and also that if she wants your relation ship to grow she needs to start counting in you or else how would she feel when you dont count on her?
