A male age 41-50, anonymous writes:

I believe that i am a special needs child that needs to be pampered, looked after by, taken care of and be protected by many. I sometimes feel that my needs are the only important needs in this world. Is it possible to get out of this complex?

gf123 agony auntFirst things first, well done for admitting this and seeking help. It can be a hard thing to do.

As I'm sure you realise, this is an unhealthy problem which is likely to lead to complexities in all areas of your life. I would advise you to visit your doctor or contact a mental health charity because it sounds as though your problems are psychological. Sometimes, people experience strange symptoms as a result of underlying mental health problems such as depression and this is something that I would advise you to look into.

It will take some courage to admit these feelings but those who are trained specialists in this area will be more than willing to help you. There are a number of different therapies they may suggest which will help you to overcome this problem.

I wish you the very best of luck.
