 Meeting a guy is just about getting a bit of face time with them. Within those few min you can decide whether or not to ask the guy out and there is nothing wrong with that. To let them know that you are interested ask them if they would want to get toogether some time for say coffee.
School is an excelent place to meet people or though friends or even if you are around anywhere during the day there is no reason why you couldn't talk to a guy.
