How can i find out about him, if he's married or interested in me-or encourage him to talk to me more? I want to be able to have a conversation with him!I'm worried that i'll never get to know him, or that he'll stop coming to the park and i'll have missed my chance, yet i don't want to make a fool of myself by making assumptions or trying to make the first move.

Do you guys have like facebook or something?
Its a great way to get your flirt on with this guy. However check his relationship status first to make sure hes not married or in any kind of relationship first so as to not make things weird or anything. GL with this guy and if it so happens that hes not single dont worry there are many other great guys out there for u:)

So many 'maybe's' and 'what if's'....you must be going through all of the possibilities in your head about this guy all the time and you probably want to know the truth so that you can get on with your life without having to keep wondering about it.
It's difficult, I know. But when you speak to him more and more, you may get an idea of what his intentions are.
Some guys are shy, so maybe you could start a conversation about the dogs...yes I know it's silly but it's a good way to start and seems polite. Ask him how old his dog is, or whether it's a girl or boy etc. The more you get to speak to him, the more you will get to know. Life is too short and so, if you want to speak to him be brave and make the first move. Maybe you could bring a friend along if you're shy or worried about it. Keep an open mind and be prepared for any setbacks, it's not the end of the world if he is married or even gay! there are plenty of other nice guys out there. You sound very sensible and Im sure you will be fine.
Good luck and I hope that you manage to speak to him soon.
