writes: Quick question. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I could do on the weekends to earn extra money but still spend time with my children? I already work full time and my evenings and weekends are usually spent cooking, cleaning and tending to my children while trying to maintain a balanced relationship with my husband. My husband and I both work but it seems like our bills and debts outweigh our income. I can't stand being broke all the time but I don't want to get a weekend job that will prevent me from spending quality time with my kids (ages 6 and 4). But I would like to do something to earn more money. Any suggestions? Thanks a lot!

We've just launched a new we site where you can offer or get local help at times that suit you, so may well be of interest. I think the Ebaying is a fab idea! Also you could try making handmade cards of something like that, and selling those, even taking then around to your local coffee shops and asking if they will keep a few in stock on the counter and sell them for you with say, a dollar commision for them on each one sold.
Other ideas are baking goods for local coffee shops or cafes, you could spend one afternoon calling all your local coffee shops and cafes and asking if they need any homebaked goods?
You could also join your local 'Freecycle' group. This is a good way to pick up free items that you could then sell at a yard sale, and anything left over you can simply freecycle on afterwards!
One of my friends also does web surveys for money, you have to make sure you pick reputable companies, but she makes pin money by doing these surveys after the kids have gone to bed!
Finally you could maybe do some weekend babysitting whereby people bring their kids over to your house?
Hope that's helpful!

To add what Kenny said, start doing Ebay in your spare time. You can make a lot of money selling things you no longer want or need. And i have something to recomend, my uncle paif for 3/4th of his house without getting a loan. He just bought the house. Meaning he has no debt there.
He finds old antiques and collectables and sells them on ebays while also keeping a full time job and still has plenty of spare time. You will need to do research for a little while learning what antiques are worth money and what not. There are books and there is a lot of info on the net. Or you can go with something you already have intrest in. For example i like comics and i have found comics worth 10- 1,200 dollars but i dont plan on selling them unless i need to for some reason. I just like collecting them. And my uncle has made a lot of money of comics also. He often go's to flea markets or garage sells where you are likely to find stuff really cheap that is actually worth something and the person selling it may not realize it. And if you only go looking for stuff for an hour you can find hundreds of dollers wourth of antiques and collectibles if you know what your looking for.
SO basically sell stuff that is related to your intrests on ebay that you can get into hunting for and sell them on Ebay for what there worth which should put a large dent if not pay for your excess bills and more once you get into the swings of things.
Good Luck

I think as you work full time, and you want to spend the weekends with your kids something that is homebased would probably be best. Have you thought about doing Ebay? Its a great way of making a little bit of extra cash, start off by things around the house you don't use or need anymore and put the on Ebay. I started doing things around the house, now im always selling DVD's on there. Its a great way of making money from the comfort of your own home, and its fun too.
Good luck x

I picked the work up during the week and spent the evenings working. It allowed me to spend the daytime with my children and earn some extra money.
