 Run away from him and go to the police or the local authorities. A man has no right to hurt a woman. Run away to a friend's place or to your family.

He's treating you like this because you allow him, getting back to him every time. He thinks you tolerate his behavior and no wonder he's treating you accordingly. He's getting his way with you every time because of the fact that you cannot put your foot down once and for all.
Go some other place, to a relative, to a friend, somewhere he can't find you, or at least somewhere you're with an other person. But this time leave FOR GOOD. If he's going to the extremes about this, just warn the police. He's a dangerous man, for the people around him and for himself. Don't just fall for his excuses and justifications and return to him in a weakness moment, he is a monster, no matter how you put it.
