writes:Me and my fiance have been together for almost 3 yrs and engaged for 2 1/2 of the 3 years. we met on a sat. and started dating that sun. we only knew each other for 2 days and well at first everything was perfect. but the past year and a half has been very rocky...we would get into the stupidest arguments and then he would put on a water works show and it kills me. we dont even live together. he has been promising me for 2 years that he is going to join the army and i have not seen it happen yet. he is full of empty and broken promises. i want to break up with him bc im not "IN" love with him anymore. but when i try to talk to him about taking a break or just becoming friends, cries and drops to the floor saying he cant breathe and i just give up and say lets just forget this ever happened and move on...and well the thing is that my fiance doesnt treat me how i want to be treated...and i met someone who treats me JUST how i want to be treated but its all talk...i will NOT cheat but i think that i might have strong feelings for this person and i dont know how to break up with my fiance bc everytime i bring up the subject he bursts into tears and so i just give up once again...i want to stay friends with him but i dont know what to do...PLEASE HELP ME!!! Im so confused and lost...Can anyone help me???-Stressed and Torn

 Well, the problem isn't that he breaks down and cries, it's that you can't be strong enough to walk away. It's really hard, but if you ever want to leave the situation you're in then you need to just get up and tell him sorry, but that's the way it is.
It sounds likes everything in your relationship was very, very rushed which could be why the relationship is failing now. You may want to think about that before heading into a new relationship!
I hope you can find your confidence and perservere!
