I want to go to London next week to see my favourite band, but i would need to stay overnight. i dont know london at all so i would like to stay in the hostel where my friend lives. we wouldnt be in the same room, just the same building. i met up with her once before and she met me at the train station and showed me around london. the thing is, she recently went back to australia where she is originally from to be with her mum who is terminally ill, and i wouldnt want to seem pushy by asking if i can stay in her hostel. its just that i have only heard about the band being there on short notice, so i dont have anywhere to stay yet, and i would feel better being there with someone who knows the place well. i would have to go there this monday. what do you think ?. Ask her, but make it clear you aren't hinged on the outcome.
"Hey, I'm gonna be in london seeing xxx on xx date and I was wondering if I could crash in your hostel for a night. Don't worry if that can't work out, I'd still like to meet up and maybe grab lunch or something!"
And make sure to bring lots of stuff to make your stay fun for everyone there
