Alright, well if he didn't originally want to be with you, he would have followed everyone else inside earlier. In my mind, it sounds like he was thinking of making a move. If he was, his emotions definitely got the best of him. So many guys are nervous about asking a girl out, or simply telling her that he likes her. Here's a personal experience from me: I wanted to know (desperately) if my crush liked me. So instead of waiting for him, I made the move and told him I liked him. It turned out that he liked me back. He's now my boyfriend. It won't always end up like that, but you have to be strong and try. It will be worth it. If you wait too long, he might move on. But, don't approach him if you haven't known him for very long. Ex: a month, a week, a couple of weeks. Truthfully, it will never be known if a boy is shy or hiding his feelings. But that may be the same thing. Some signs, though, include looking away when you look at him, not opening up to you when you ask questions, avoiding you and your glance, etc. But it could be either the boy thinks you're stalking him, or that he really is shy. Don't be afraid to tackle it, though! I never thought I could, until I did.
