Just as females are bisexuals men can be also. Maybe you do like her (personality etc.) but by you being a gay male doesn't mean you can't have feelings for woman. I have a gay female friend and she have just as many boyfriends as she does girlfriends its just the same with a male. There's nothing wrong or embarassing about loving both male and female.

Are you sure you are completely gay, or is there a possibility that you are bisexual?
I'm not sure what it feels like to be gay, or male, but I have a close friend from college who describes himself as gay but once speculated that everyone is potentially bisexual.
It could be that you've been attracted to guys (which is okay) but you had a latent potential to be attracted to a woman, you just didn't realize it because you never met the right one.
