A male Canada age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I am a gay male, but recently I have noticed that I kind of have feelings for one of my best friends who is a female. I'm not sure how true these feelings are, or if this is something that happens to some (gay) men who are very emotionally close with a female friend.

ShanL agony auntJust as females are bisexuals men can be also. Maybe you do like her (personality etc.) but by you being a gay male doesn't mean you can't have feelings for woman. I have a gay female friend and she have just as many boyfriends as she does girlfriends its just the same with a male. There's nothing wrong or embarassing about loving both male and female.

SirenaBlusera agony auntAre you sure you are completely gay, or is there a possibility that you are bisexual?

I'm not sure what it feels like to be gay, or male, but I have a close friend from college who describes himself as gay but once speculated that everyone is potentially bisexual.

It could be that you've been attracted to guys (which is okay) but you had a latent potential to be attracted to a woman, you just didn't realize it because you never met the right one.
