Hello everyone I'm feeling very stressed up over my studies. I'll be taking my national exams thus year and this is going to determine which university I can get into. I'm not aiming for any prestigious school, just a local university. But the competition is tough as well. While I'm sure all I need is some polishing up, my parents are giving me a lot of stress. They expect me to get A for everything. Too much stress has made me ill but even when I'm sick, they expect me to just take medicine and go to school when in reality I'd only feel worse the next day due to lack of rest. I've expressed my fatigue on several occasions but I'm still made to go to school even though I'm ill and this has really made me depressed. How can I tell my parents that I've had enough of the tiger mom style of parenting when they won't even listen?

Hey there,

well thats really not easy, i think you really need to sit your parents down and have a proper conversation, i know you possibly tried but you really need to get it to them, they need to understand your doing your best and them stressing you out isnt really going to help, just tell them it´ll be much easier for you to meet your goals if they just leave you to it and just tell them the best thing they can do is just support you and motivate you.

Hope i helped and good luck

relax abit , when your ment to be revising do it in your room and catch up on your sleep , or make a revise timetablee , or revise for a hour then choill out for a bit then revise for another hour. it's easier to take it in then because your not tying to remmember everything . so sit down with your mum and tell her your to il to go school and see if they can send the work home or atleast sort ouut a timetable
