Canadian immigration works on a points system. You get points for things like higher education, particular skills, etc. Check out this site:

Your girlfriend needs to have an income of $50000 a year to sponsor you. If you don't have an advanced degree you want to have a valued skill such as truck driving. You land as an immigrant and you apply for a permanent residence card. After 3 consecutive years living in Canada you can apply for a canadian citizenship card.

I'm from the US not Canada, so please understand I am speaking from what i know about the US. Hopefully an aunt/uncle from Canada will see your post and be able to shed more light on things. My fiance is from Japan, he is a cardiologist with a Phd and had a visa for 10 years here, he got it through his work (hospital) in Boston. It took him a year just to be able to get all the paperwork together. When his visa expired, he wanted to stay, so he applied for a green card. That was 2.5 years ago and he is STILL waiting for approval! I don't want to discourage you but I think you need to know what you are up against. It is not easy to move to another country without a great job, lots of money or a sponsor. I know that people think you can just marry someone and get in, but I don't believe that is nearly as easy as what everyone thinks. I'm sorry if this is discouraging to you. Please check on the internet, check out all resources. Know exactly what you are dealing with. Good luck!

I highly doubt it, do some research and look in to it, but I doubt that there is any easy way about this am afraid.
