I don't know what calorie switching is. But what works for just about every human being on this planet is to eat less and work out more.
I try to eat half or even a quarter of what I would normally eat that I know would usually make me stuffed. And of course stay away from food that makes you fat, like sugars and starches. But I still eat them, just very little of it.
As far as working out, all you really have to do is some steady walking on an incline on the treadmill for at least half an hour. I also think building muscle is important. Muscle burnes fat. And since we women don't usually want bulging biceps like men, just do light weight and more reps, also try using rubber bands in your workout. You can find exercises online or just go to Target if you have one wherever you're at. If you decide to join a gym, I swear by a cardio kickboxing class. I hit a plateau once and wasn't losing anymore weight; I started the class and dropped another 8lbs.

I have recently lost 4 kg over about 3 months, total of 32 cms overall, 16 of those off my bust, reduce meal size, cut out high carbs, eat at least two apples a day, dont eat more than three pieces of fruit, due to the high natural sugars, up the intake of veges, lower the intake of red meat, no spuds, brown rice, wholemeal pastas if you must. I didnt exercise any more than normal, (which is not a lot) if I had taken up walking to work I beleive I could have lost a lot more. Lots of little things add up to one big Whole!
Good luck for the future!

I would recomend going to the gym an having an appointmen with a personal trainer that will also help with diet. You will need to train everyday untill march and if you stick to it you will get your results.
It will be one of the most difficult things mentally and phisically you will ever do but it's well worth it! I did it, I should really update my picture.
Christmas an new year are your enemy right now it is a known fact that we can put on up to 5-10kgs/2-5lbs over that season/time of year it's the one time of year we put on most weight.
Be strong be determined and you can do it!

You might be best going to the doctor and asking for advice. Then you know what's best for you.
