 Ok, first, I hope you aren't sending this person any money. This is one of the number one scams on the internet. There is always an excuse why they need help from you, and you being in love, send them what they need.
Now, if you've met in person, and you are sure this isn't a scam, then I suggest you look into the immigration laws of Canada. He may be able to come to you with a work visa, or some other form of temporary relocation. Ultimately though it will take some research into the laws with which you're dealing. You might want to talk to a lawyer, as they will likely be able to answer most of your questions.
