I spoke this week with him that I needed space, that there is no need for us to be calling each other every day and sharing personal things and I told him the reason for my request is because I still have feelings for him. He appear to agreed, but over the past 2 days he contines to call me and saying that he misses me, was thinking about me, but he makes comments that irritate me. HOw can I get him to leave me alone, should I just not answer the phone?

picasso is verified as being by the original poster of the questionFor those who respond I thank you for the advice. Today I spoke to my ex boyfriend. I establish my will again and he agreed not to call me back. It was tough task, he couldnt understand why my request and why not to still be freinds. I explain needed to move on.He said he will not call me again and stated in case if I needed him to call him. I try to end things in harmony but that is not always the case, so the freindship was a bittter end story. But I really appreciated your advice and input. thanks. I am free at last! freee at last!

Let him get on with it. This is totally unfair to his new gf. Just stop this now. Change your phone number, stop listening to him. You are giving him an ear, so you are just as bad. I think you like the attention that this is bringing, secretly. Please stop or this will do your head in. Walk away with your dignity still in tact.
Take care

I totally sympathise with you. My ex boyfriend finished our relationship 9 months ago and we are still in this situation, even though he went straight into another serious realtionship. He phones me almost every day, i did ignore him which i found really difficult as i felt really rude but i did feel better after a few weeks and he eventually stopped phoning but then he rang out of the blue after a month and sure enough we are back where we were always having deep lengthy conversations and his girlfriend really hates me as you can imagine and gets really upset about it. I would love to practice what i preach but deep down i know the best thing for you is to move on, if he still loves you, as i suspect he does, he will hopefuly be man enough to admit to himself and do something about it!! If he isnt then why would you want him anyway? But i do know this is easier said than done!! Good luck keep us posted.

where is the prob? He loves you, too. If you althought wont him to leave you alone, you shout say him, that he shouldn´t make the things worse than they are. Maybe you can also talk to his new girlfriend when nothing chance. It will destroy you emotional, when you don´t answer the phone. Maybe you can say that on the telefone and hang up then, it´s hart but necessary to dont have contact, cause in such a case the emotions will just grow. Maybe you need a detailed talk with him about your perspectives and your expectations. Hope i could help. will pray for you.

You have told him how you feel and asked for space and he hasn't respected your needs. If I were you I would change your phone number or have his number blocked from your phone so he can't bother you any more. If he's with someone else and is still calling his ex he's a total sleazeball and not worth your time.
