Im 5ft 9 and I weigh 149.6 lbs. I feel nauseous every time i look in the mirror, or catch site of my body. It is eating me up. I try to diet, but I play so much sport that I start fainting if I dont eat for a whole day. But im still over weight. By boyfriend says he likes me with curves, but I cant help but feel he will meet someone skinnier and leave me. He promises this isnt true and always tells me how beautiful I am. But I still hate myself. Does anyone have any suggestions on dieting and exercise that makes you skinnier, not just more toned?thanks so much!!

If your boyfriend will dump you for any reason, you might be shocked to find out that it was for your lack of self confidence, not your weight. He obviously thinks that you are beautiful, and so should you. Besides, weight, when you get down to it, is nothing but a number. Everyone carries their weight differently. One of my very good friends is 147 lbs and she is a stick figure, but I also have a friend who weighs less than 147lbs and looks a tad heavier than that. But, 149 lbs is NOT HEAVY. Guys like girls who come in all shapes and sizes. You might end up pushing your boyfriend away with all of this worry about him leaving you. I have seen it happen before. So, please please just remember it's all in your head and that, believe it or not, super-skinny does not equal sexy. Trust me.

Dear Maid_Marian_vetbabe,You're not fat or overweight. If you're 5' 9", it's totally reasonable to weigh 149.6lbs. From the sound of it, you're heavier than those models you see on the magazine because you have muscles all over your body. Please believe muscle weights more than fat. Scale does no justice if you're an athlete. You can try eatting healthy. No deep-fried food, no junk food, and no sweet drinks. Try that! (I'm sure you have enough exercise) If you think it's what you eat that makes you fat, try writing down everything (portion size) you eat for a week and read it and see if you're not eatting right.Being a real woman, we don't need to be light or skinny. Guys look for confidence and sexy in a woman. Marilyn Moore is one of the sexies figure in history. Guess what, she wears size 16 (US size too). Believe in yourself. Your boyfriend loves you for who you are and not how skinny you are. Trust is a big part in relationship. I hope this helps.Yuna
