Recently I learnt how to drive, I had a really great instructor who made me feel good about myself, gave me loads of confidence and I could talk to him about anything. My lessons became almost like a social outing. I don't get out a lots so don't have many friends.Since passing my test I really miss my instructor. I do believe I must have had a crush on him: how sad am I? I would never have done anything about it as I didn't fancy him just really really liked him as a friend. He has a wife so I would never have looked at him in any other way: I am not into marriage wrecking.5 months on from passing I miss him/ my lessons so much. I feel really really stupid for feeling like this but cant snap out of it.Anyone have any tips for moving on as this is eating me up inside

Uncle Trev's advice was spot on good luck!

Think of all those negatives things about him or demonise him and your mind will get turned off .You will find him repulsive.
Think of him with other women and taking advantage of them.Think of him as having trying to seduce you under the guise of friendship etc..

First of all as you have passed your test have you thought about taking lessons for the advanced test, it could be a way of taking your driving skills a little bit further and an advance test does command very favourable insurance deals.
Failing this, is there any other classes you could attend like evening classes in your local area where you could pursue other skills along side the ones you presently have. Doing this you will meet others in the class that share your interest and this in turn could help you in gaining a network of friends.
You are still that person who has all this confidence and with your ability to drive, you now have freedom that until you passed your test must have only possibly been a dream away.
You say you had a crush on your instructor but I wonder if it is not a crush as much as a warming towards somebody who has shown warmth towards you and someone who has genuinely believed in your abilities as a progressing driver.
It is important that in the future that you continue to believe in yourself and continue to aspire to be the person that you really want to be. Please remember that a stranger is only a friend that you have not met yet and the best way to gain many friends is to believe in and like yourself.
I hoped this has helped a little.
Please feel OK to contact me personally if you feel I may be able to help out any further.
Cheers
Trev
