softtouchmale2003 agony auntAs a guy, it makes no difference to me. Some women enjoy having large labia and they can be quite sensitive. So when engaging in various acts of pleasure, they can be incorporated to add to that spark needed to release that pent up orgasm.

kittykhaos agony auntI can really relate to this i HATE yes HATE my labia BUT it has never caused me any problems and non of my sexual partners have ever commented. Some women have large labia and some have hardly any protrusion at all but don't feel that you are in some way abnormal far from it. If as you get older it causes you discomfort or irritation talk to a doctor about getting it reduced but seriously if its only an aesthetic problem then try not to let it affect your confidence it really is normal:) x

SirenaBlusera agony aunti can't remember the link, unfortunately, but there was a link to a series of anatomical drawings on this site. Perhaps one of the aunts remembers it?

To put it delicately, it showed a vast range of "normal" female anatomy.

I am sure you're normal. You could eventually have plastic surgery to fix it when you are older, if you are really miserable. However, many girls your age feel insecure about something. You're okay, I'm sure.

Starlights agony auntAll labia's are different, just us all of us women come in different shapes, colours & sizes.

You shouldnt worry about it, im sure if a partner is with you they wont be focusing on the way your labia hangs out, but rather focus on making you have a good time in the bedroom.

some women who have low self confidence do have operations to make it cosmetically aligned, but personally i think you should save the money, and instead learn to love yourself as you are.

Good luck!

A reader, anonymous, writes (5 August 2009):

No there is nothing wrong with it. Every one is different, at your age I would not worry too much. But, if you continue to dislike it when your are older there are operations to trim this area on a woman. Remember what you think and what your future husban or bf might think are two different things. I think its gross (personal experience) but my bf thinks its great..lol , go figure.
