her in trouble is verified as being by the original poster of the questionthanks a lot for your answers...but i dun want to ask him directly..cuz i fear things might get awkward...he is being asked by his parents to marry...and he keeps reminding me of it also...i have the guts to tell him..but i dun have the guts to lose him if he doesn't like me..:(

 I would make up a story while talking to him.
"So and so said that they thought we were a couple. I didn't think of us like that until they mentioned it. Do you ever see us as more than just friends?"
Ask him in a nonchalant manner just to see what he says, that way if he gets nervous and says No i've never thought of you like that, then you can backpedal and say ya, me neither.
But if he says yes sometimes I do think of us like that, then you can say me too and it will go from there.
I hope this helps. He is your best friend you know, the person you can talk to and tell just about anything.

 take the risk and ask him. that;s the surest way to know. anyhow, some signs are: he's being sweet and threat you special like he doesn't do to others, he get jealous when your with someone else/guy friend, he listen to you well and wants to know every details of your stuff, he's always around for you no matter what he does, he makes time for you though his busy, he choose to be with you than her guy friends, and so on and so forth.
so are these signs manifesting to you? or any?
