 When you love someone, it is very easy to project one's own feelings and expectations in the behavior of other people. I'm sorry to say this, but I believe this is what is happening with you. You love her so much that you take her smallest action to mean she loves you, too. In your case, that she "can" love you too.
If she says she's straight, I believe that her reciprocating the feelings is out of the question. If I read deep into her words, perhaps she could even be a lesbian, but one who would say she is straight just to avoid hurting you.
I very much understand your situation. I'm sorry that I can't give you another opinion. Take much care.
