With family people I can get mad and assertive fast. I tried to act like the people at school are my family but it doesn't work and it makes me seem weak. What can I do. I like the Karate idea. One of the reasons I have continued to work out is I carry myself with more confidence. This will show and you will find that the energy you project is strong and not passive. You wont even have to say anything, its just an unspoken strength in how you conduct yourself. Weak people are always trying to prove themselves, strong people don't need to. This is one of those natural laws and it has nothing to do with physical size, it is all in how you carry yourself.

Take a karate class, it teaches so much more than self-defense. If you can afford it it would be well worth it.
