I am in my fourties and have only dated one women my ex-wife ever in my entire life. I am tired of being alone all the time but when I even think about talking to a women I become shy and self contious. Being alone for so long has made me feel sad and depressed that I have no one to share my life with. I have been told by most of my family that I need to just go out and find someone but as usual they don't understand. I tried several online dating sites but have had no luck at all. I have almost no friends to hand out with and my family is not really any support. As for bars I don't drink and feel uncomfortable being in that envirionment.I don't want to go the rest of my life living such a lonely exsitance. Please help!

well why not with the friends you have at the moment or work people get a night out going go for a meal with them or something like that.
cinema or something then you see a lady you like go up to her and talk to her just a casual conversation and see how it goes from there.
i understand you become shy as we all do i am very shy myself.
but random places i go there are always plenty of people about why not try doing that.
even if it's going to your local shop or supermarket there are plenty of people there.
just go to your local supermarket there are plenty of women around that you can just talk too :)
just find out somethings about them what they like just a general chit chat.
Hope this helps.
