A rain of chocolate from throngs of random girls who squealed as I accepted their chocolate and (as always) just 1 box of chocolate from a single boy whom I don't even know. (thank goodness.) Am I even supposed to be offended or amused? No idea. Anyways, this year, no matter how much I beg, my mom absolutely REFUSES to disallow from going to school on valentines day and white day. The most awkward thing about the whole thing is that girls all expect you to send them a little gift on white's day and it'll be SO upsetting to see girls crying because you didn't or glaring at your best friends who received gifts from you. Question: how am I going to escape this year's Valentines craze without hurting anyone's feelings?

Just tell them thank you, you don't really need to return the favor. In my opinion, you're a lucky chick to get THAT many letters and boxes of chocolate. On Valentines Day, I get absolutely nothing and I'm only 17. I would be flattered to even get one letter or box of chocolates!

Just because someone expects something does not mean you have to do it. POST a sign on your locker that says "I am NOT celebrating Valentine's DAY do not expect anything from me"
