Thanks for your responses in advance.I have been seeing a guy for a while now, he was my friend before hand and he has always referred to me as being "hot" or "sexy". Recently he has changed this to calling me "gorgeous" and "beautiful". I do prefer beautiful and gorgeous, just does it mean anything though? i have never had a guy call me gorgous or beautiful before, and it's really nice to hear it, I just want to know why the change in these words. Thanks again. I heard once that if he calls you hot, he likes your body. If he calls you pretty, he likes your face. If he calls you beautiful??? He loves your soul ;) Love it....

How much older than you is he????
If he's much older, then perhaps he's experiencing early onset dimentia.... and doesn't remember that you are "hot and sexy"....but does remember that you are, actually, "beautiful and gorgeous"....
F'r cryin' out loud, lady.... what DIFFERENCE does it make which words he uses??????? Sounds like he's smitten with you... and you like him... and you're trying to dissect his every word..... AND, if you do so enough, you stand to make a mistake and screw up what sounds like a promising relationship....
Good luck....

MUCH BETTER!
It's much better to be beautiful and gorgeous than hot and sexy...
yeah it strokes our egos to be hot and sexy but to be honest that's reserved for girls they want to fuck.
beautiful and gorgeous are for women they love and adore adn want to cherish!
My current boyfriend found me "doable" until he fell in love and then I beacame pretty....
yeah it's a good thing.

Usually it means that he's starting think about more than your body and he's starting to like you for yourself and your personality. Hot and sexy is nice, but that's a guy thinking mostly with his penis, beautiful and gorgeous is more respectful, deeper and means your becoming more important to him in his life and in his heart.
Don't know what your doing, but your definitely doing something right.

CaringGuy is exactly right - it's a promotion. "Beautiful" and "gorgeous" are words that men usually reserve for those once-in-a-blue-moon perfect girlfriends, and for Scarlett Johansson.
The reason you've never heard them before is exactly that - those words are carefully reserved. You have to earn them, unlike "hot and sexy," which you can be born with.

Hot and sexy to me sound like lustful words, where as gorgeous and beautiful are more sweet and loving words. Sounds like he might be falling for you and is expressing it.

Personally I would rather be labelled beautiful and gorgeous then hot and sexy, by someone I care about. Hot and sexy can be any "random" babe, but beautiful and gorgeous seems more personal.
Maybe it means nothing, maybe you are not longer "just" hot and sexy, you are much more in his eyes. (that is more then a friend with a nice piece of ass).

You've been promoted!
Not literally, of course. But what I mean is that 'hot' and 'sexy' are words that you might associate with a man who is more interested in you physically. In contrast, 'gorgeous' and 'beautiful' most likely indicates that he's starting to fall for you even more.
Sounds to me like what you have is progressing in the right direction.
