writes:How can i convince her parents im not a bad guy without getting her in any trouble. when i asked her out her parents said we couldnt date or even be friends because of the problems i have had in the past at school. we have still been talking and we are basically dating behind her parents back. recently they found out we were still in contact and said that if we continued contact she would be moved to live with other family. (crazy but true) i love her more than anything else in the world and dont want to lose her. my first idea to convice her parents was simply to call and ask to have a meeting with them to show im not a bad guy, but if i contact her parents then they will move her and i dont want her parents to judge me before even meeting me and have this bad oppinion about me. I just need to know any ideas as to how i can convice them. (she's 16 btw) Reply to this Question

 Show your face infront of her parents, tell them that you have a clear intention to their daughter, and if they object just prove yourself! believe me that's impressive, my suitor did that and my dad was like stunned!

well to be honest i would go around there and ask to talk to them all tell them everything the reason you got into trouble and say you will do anything to date there daugther say things like you will follow rules the set for you and genral things like that so they begin to trust you but be careful not to push it tho and if you do start datein dont start doin stuff to soon!

 Hello again, Romeo. Since I think we already answered this question, I'll be brief. Be patient, play by her parents' rules, and wait. As for her parents prejudging you, it sounds like they already have. If you're going to show them they're wrong about you, you're going to have to play by their rules. If that means waiting a few years and staying out of trouble in the meantime, then that's what you'll have to do. She is worth it, right?[fogey]And sheesh, kid, you're fourteen! You've still got a lot of growing up to do. :P[/fogey]
