 Firstly, this girl sounds as if she is messing you around abit. But the only thing to really do is ask her. No harm will come of asking, but im sure its just a misunderstanding. It is only her facebook status, it doesn't really clarify anything and the only way to find out is to ask her.
But if your too scared to do that because you couldn't bare if it was a no, is to be sneeky.
Bad advice? maybe not.
If you think her facebook is important to her, check her comments and her wall etc, you will soon find out if she is leading other people on aswel as you!
Come back if none of this works, im sure i will think of something else

 Have you spoken to your Girlfriend about why her status is set to single? She might of just forgot to change it.
I would also ask her straight does she really want to be with you or is she just playing you?
