I don't remember if I took my tampon out or not, and my guy friend was just as drunk as me so I doubt he realized either. I woke up the next morning and realized what was going on, I tried feeling around inside myself, but no luck; I figured if it was in there it was probably pretty far up because, not to get into too much detail, but, the guy was rather long.. So I went to the hospital and the doctor took a look and said there was no tampon inside me..well today I have been experiencing pretty bad abdominal pains, and also when I was in the shower and washing myself, I noticed a piece of something white on my bath poof..so I decided to examine, seeing as how it didn't appear to be discharge but some kinda cloth-like material.. Well I let it dryAnd then looked at it closer and yes indeed it appeared to be like a shredded piece of tampon.. So I went back to the hospital and another doctor looked at me and said the same as the last doctor, that there was no tampon there.. Well I don't know what else the cloth-like material could have came from. And also, if you're a woman, have you ever had in a dry tampon and notice how it feels uncomfortable? Well that's how my vaginal area has felt all day. Is there any way it could be lodged down somewhere or up too far the doctors couldn't see it, especially since it was a light sized tampon?

I was just so scared because it was a small one and I've heard TTS is something very serious and I was scared of getting it.. Ill just have to be more careful next time I suppose

The pain you experience could possibly be from getting rubbed too much on the inside due to friction between the penis, the tampon and your walls.
An embarrassing question to ask would be to ask the guy you had sex with if he remembers anything.

Worth going back to the doc or getting a second opinion. When the same thing happened to me, my doctor initially said he couldn't see it and "was I sure?" To which I answered "Yes, I felt it with my finger" He looked again at a slightly different angle and was able to spot it and remove it. It isn't possible for the tampon to disappear past the cervix beyond view. You should be able to feel a lost tampon, though with a finger, especially in a rather unglamourous squatting positon. The tampons don't usually "disintergrate" after a few days so , if it's in there, it should still be intact and not shedding pieces
It is possible for small pieces of toilet paper or loose threads from underpants to get stuck to the vulva to be discovered later. This could be what you found.
Just to be on the safe side, I'll advise you to get straight back to the doctor if you notice a foul smelling discharge or a sudden high fever.

go and see the nurse who deals with your smear test. She will give you a proper examination. Theres not always a smell by the way, but it does feel kinda weird like you describe.

That's when I realised. My doctor told me that he deals with this regularly where a woman will notice a foul smell then go to the doc only to find a forgotten tampon. Give it a week: if no smell then there's nothing in there. It can't go anywhere if you have a look at your science diagram or tampon packet drawings there is nowhere it can go.

If the doctor said there was nothing there then I wouldn't worry about it too much, they do tend to know what they're talking about. It would be very hard to push a saturated tampon (assuming it was because you'd put it in earlier that night) past your cervix. In fact, it would be extremely hard to push anything beyond your cervix.
However, have you discussed these symptoms with your doctor? Because it sounds like you may have a yeast infection or something along those lines. I would go back and dicuss this with your doctor just to be on the safe side.
Keep us posted :)

ok first of all a tampon cant get lost it has nowhere to go but because it was one for a light flow it is quite small and if it was inside of you when he penatrated you he should have felt it but you say he was drunk, so he could have pushed it quite far up inside of you. so what i would suggest, try putting your finger up ti feel and if you cant feel anything then you might have to go to the doc to be sure beceause you could get really sick if it is still inside and you leave it up there. you will get toxic shock syndrome. hope i helped.
