 Sounds like he has emotional problems and you don't need that at all! You need a nice clear headed person who can offer a stable relationship. Defiantly end it.

Because you're letting him. He's treating you like a doormat. It may not be for sex, but it sounds to me like he's using you as the safe bet. You can be sure of one thing, and that is that if you don't end it permanently, this will be how your love life will remain. You'll always be on and off. This guy is not reliable and is not worth anymore of your time. End it.
