Question - (21 September 2009) 1 Answers - (Newest, 21 September 2009)
A female United States age 36-40, anonymous writes:

My boyfriend and I started dating when i was 17 and he was 18 he was my first everything. Now 4 years later, he tells me that he wants to find himself, because hes unemployed and taking another semester off for school. We still spend time together and talk and txt not so much as before but often throughtout the day. His reason for this is that I have alot going for myself as far as school and working. He claims he doesnt feel like a man because he cant do all the things that he would like to for me because he dosent have the money. Our relationship has been great i mean we have had arguments and fall outs but for the most part I am happy/ i just dont understand why he wants a little more space! is it so that he could cheat on me or is?

A male reader, CaringGuy United Kingdom +, writes (21 September 2009):

I don't think he wants to cheat. I just think he's going through a bit of a personal crisis. However, it sounds as if your relationship may have run its course. This might be his way of working up to spitting from you, so be prepared for that. Don't wait around for him to make his mind up either. there are others out there.
