Which countries will allow him two have two wives? Will India or Turkey allow us to get married? He is mormon and I am going to become mormon but we both know it is illegal in the U.S. to have to wives. We would like to know if we could get married in India or Turkey? Or what other countries we can get married in. Thank you Reply to this Question Share |

Where do you two plan on living? The reason I ask is that if you get married in a country that allows men to be married to more than one woman, and you return to the United States, your partnership will be recognized as if you two never got married. This is because, the United States does not have to accept or recognize any marriage that is outside of the marital laws of the U.S. It's the same way where some states recognized gay marriage. If the couple moved to a state, after being married, where gay marriage is illegal, the state doesn't have to recognize them as being married either.
