writes:My boyfriend and i have had sex about 3 times now,and one of the times after we were done he took off the condom and then fingered me a little later, i asked him if he had any semen on his hands and he said that he whiped it off, so he thought. Well my period is irregular cause im only a teen.My last period started the 1st and ended the 9th of Jan. but now it hasnt started yet and this whole fingering deal happend on the 29th of jan. Im so nervous because i havent gotten my period yet! My boyfriend and I have been flipping out because of the thought i could be pregnant! im so scared and idk what to do, my boyfriend is going to get a pregnancy test tomorrow if i dont start..Lately it kinda of hurts to pee, not like a really sharp pain of anything just a little one. and thats really freaking me out! i cant be pregnant! do you think i am pregnant? or am i just freaking myself out?

reader, anonymous, writes (15 February 2010): This is verified as being by the original poster of the questionthanks everyone! i just wanted to keep you guys updated, well that weekend my boyfriend indeed did get a pregnancy test, i took it on sat. and it came up negative.Then the following monday i took another one and it also came up negative so im not really worrying about it much anymore, now everytime me and my boyfriend get sexual we are EXTRA careful cause we dont want something like this to happen again, your guys answers made me feel a lot better and i really appreciate it(:

There is always a chance if he had sperm on his hands. Maybe go to a doctor if you're really worried.

The chances of getting pregnant from that are very low..but again not impossible. Pregnancy tests can read false negatives in the beginning because the hormone that shows up when you pee isn't present til I think it is 7-9 days after implantation of the fertilized egg.
Also the hurting to pee sounds more like a UTI, which can commonly be caused by sexual activities (think bacteria getting forced into the urethral area when something is being rubbed up near it).
So if this event happened Jan.29th, if u WERE pregnant it probably wouldnt show up til this weekend anyways. Also stress (like worrying bout this) can make your periods a little off to. Again chances are low but better to be safe that sorry and check it out

reader, anonymous, writes (4 February 2010): It is highly unlikely that, even if he had a small amount of semen on his finger, he could impregnate you in that manner. The semen would have to get past your cervix and into your uterus somehow. Then it would have to meet up with an ovum. The odds are all against that.
