A male reader, Dr. John United States +, writes (9 December 2007):

Dr. John agony auntGive him back his privacy.

If he wants to have you read his texts then he will offer.

Tell him you trust him and show him by not reading any more of his messages.

At least he will see you are trying to trust him. Doc

A male reader, omon Nigeria +, writes (8 December 2007):

omon agony auntGiving a guy any form of doubt gradually makes him get tired of a relationship. It is natural to doubt a guy but if you must follow your instint then do it smart...don't be caught.

But if you want to be polite, then do as the above friend instructed by asking...his refusal to letting you check would indicate he has something fishy else, he would give you his phone freely coz he do be proud to earn your trust.

TasteofIndia agony auntNot sure what a "rent boy" is, but I think if you want him to think that you trust him, stop reading his texts! It does show that you don't trust him. If you want to read them, ask, at least.

Good luck, sweetness..
