I have a problem. My current boyfriend of 10 months has been saying "I love you" for about a week now, but at real random times. Like the first time was when I was in the shower and he was brushing his teeth. He said "Babe?" and I said "yeah" over the running water, etc. and he goes "I just realized I love you".

I looked out at him and he just kissed me and left. I didn't know what to say because I was taken aback, especially due to the odd timing.

Then he said it once really quietly when I was waking up in the morning, then once again while we were driving with my nieces and nephews and the radio was blasting.

Why does he keep saying it, and at these unusual times? I'm ready to say it back now, but I just wanted to see if this was weird of him? thank you

Us men find it difficult to say straight to a womans face all the romantic things they like to hear. He probably does it at times when he does`nt feel embarrassed and when you can`t stare at him for too long. We are only boys playing at being men.

i dont think those times sound that weird, the perfect times to say you love someone are whenever you feel it, there are no rules. It mite show he's relaxed around you and i think the shower/teeth moment sounds quite cute. U should be glad hes saying he loves you of you feel the same.

I agree with the last post.

The other possibility was that he didn't want you to feel pressured to say it back, so he picked times where it wouldn't feel too awkward if you didn't.

Just tell him whenever you feel like it.

nah its not wierd at all, when is the right time to say it? an i love you out of the blue is the best! it suprises you and it means alot more than when it is said at times that you feel you have to say it.

he probably doesnt brush his teeth when someone is in the bath regularly and he probably realised how close n comfortable he is with you.
