If you remind him of his ex, then he doens't fancy you, he fancies her. You're not all that close, so end it now and move on before you get hurt. Don't be a rebound for him.

 Ok i would deffinately forget about him! It sounds like he does still have feelings for his ex gf which is never a good way to start a relationship and could lead to bigger problems and many arguments further into your relationship! Good luck!
