Oblivia agony auntI think you should think again about talking with anybody who says anything like that to you. Probably he is just an immature little boy who has no idea what he is saying, but anyway, if someone says anything like that to you again you should either walk away or ask him what the h**k he means by that!

I'm sorry to say this, I know you like him, but it is really not a very good thing of a boy to say to a girl, ever. Seems like he needs some more growing up before you let him hold hands with you. I would also advice you to talk to your mother about your feelings for this boy. It might be of best help for you, perhaps your mother even knows who this boy is?

Good luck!

Oblivia agony auntHi,

You are very brave! Probably he is a little embarrassed only and maybe afraid you might have made a joke with him. Ask him again. If he says no again, it is his loss.

Good luck, tell us how it goes!

He is immature and answered with the standard little boy response. Now he's probably regretting what he has done. Send him another note and see if he has changed his mind.

A male reader, somewhat_anonymous United States +, writes (13 October 2007):

He might have said no because he is embarrassed to say yes or because he is playing a game. Or he might have said no because he never really thought about it, but now that he knows he has your attention, you now have his and he is rethinking it.
